Unipart Rail, formed from National Railway Supplies and Railpart has enjoyed strong growth. It has seen new business in its core business of supplying parts to both train operating companies and the national rail infrastructure, as well as in consultancy services. A project with First Scot Rail cut maintenance times so that incidents of lost train availability were cut by up to 60 per cent in peak times.
